6-4 SD III 19.25*2.5, double wing swallow, parabolic stringers, epoxy, future fin thruster. This is what the pros have been using a lot this year. It’s the best response we’ve ever had from a new model and is a required quiver addition for anyone passionate about riding new surfboards. Its more of a ripper version of the SD2, with the latest fine tuned rocker and bottom and outline, but with a Vee deck to a boxy, thinner rail. Its to be ridden the same thickness as a regular board, but thicker than an SD2. Guys who love the SD2 will want to ride this the same, but thicker by a 1/8" or so. Comes standard as Dbl wing swallow (Like Wardos) but can be ordered in any tail shape. PARABOLIC (Perimeter) STRINGERS. First introduced to us by Greg Loehr a few years back. These dual stringer blanks are an engineering step forward for hand made surfboards. The stringers are located in the perimeter outline of the board, at a very precise point in from the rail so they are not too thick (stiff) or thin (flimsy). The most notable change from Perimeter stringers is great reduction in torsional flex or "Twist". The boards flex lengthwise with out twisting. This gives a more responsive feel off the bottom where most pressure is applied. They also have a more balanced flex from nose to tail. The stringers don’t have as extreme of thickness flow, thus flex less in the thin areas (nose and tail tips) and a bit more in the thicker areas. Other advantages are greater flex capacity before reaching break point, lack of "buckles", and "toe cave" in the tails areas from powerful surfers.
